ADOPT- A -Graduate Volunteer Programme is a Project of Purple Images Productions where unemployed College and University graduates will be linked to local and international  development organizations, corporate organizations and prominent individuals  to provide voluntary work for  three to twelve months
or more depending on the needs of the host and the availability of the volunteer.

The Overall objective of the programme is to promote employment opportunities among Young Graduates by giving them work experience through volunteerism. Candidates who prove themselves may be absorbed by the Hosting organization during the volunteer programme period or after. Graduate Volunteers will also gain enormous work experience and skills they can sell in other organizations or in self employment.

Hosting  Organizations will be free to provide any stipends to support the volunteer  in agreement with the graduate volunteer The Adopt- a- Graduate Volunteer Programme Bureau  will leave the volunteer to negotiate terms with the Hosting organization. Volunteers do not need to have work experience but outstanding academic qualification s and minimum work experience may be given priority in the recruitment process of the Volunteer Graduates.

In the case of Community Development Projects, Volunteers must be willing to  work and live within the community  or as required by the host so as to have a first hand experience of the community’s problems and  share skills and experiences with community members to  develop projects to address health, social and other development  problems.

Paid up volunteers will be informed of the decision for a vacancy by the Bureau  within one month but the CV will be kept on the data bank for a maximum of  one year period.  Adopt- A Graduate Volunteer Programme will organize open days on quarterly basis where Graduate Volunteers will share experiences and any lessons learned.  An interactive website will be set up while a monthly newsletter will also be published for sharing of experiences and lessons learnt.

A fee of Kshs 300 by the volunteer candidates will be required for membership registration.  Membership fee to the Adopt -A- Graduate Bureau by Development and Corporate organizations is Kshs 1000 per volunteer. This will fee will help meet the administrative costs of marketing the volunteers and matching them with host organizations and is therefore non- refundable.
