1. Project
The 3rd National Women in Business Conference and Trade Fair 2008. Women in Kenya have in the last few years provided great leadership in business innovations and entrepreneurship. To celebrate these achievements while evaluating the challenges of women participation and success in business in Kenya, Purple Images Productions which is a leading communications and events management organization is organizing the 3rd Kenya Women Business Leaders Summit and Trade Fair on 31st October 2008 at the Grand Regency Hotel, Nairobi. The 1st National Women in Business Conference was held at Safari Park Hotel in October 2005. The 2nd Conference was held at Grand Regency Hotel in November 9th 2006. The conference did not take off last year as the planning was affected by the General Elections.
The Summit targets Kenya’s Women Business Leaders, women innovators, business mentors, entrepreneurship experts and other stakeholders. There will also be an exhibition and trade fair for services and products produced for and by women while creating awareness about job creation and business challenges and opportunities for Women in Kenya.
The overall objective of the Women Business Leaders Summit therefore is to celebrate the role of Women in national development through business enterprises.

The overall objective of the Women in Business Conference is to celebrate the contribution of women in national life through business enterprises. In addition, other Summit objectives are as follows:
To provide Kenya's Women Business Leaders with forum for information sharing and networking.
To promote innovation and creativity, role modeling and mentoring in entrepreneurship among Women.
To reward national achievements in business entrepreneurship initiatives for women through the excellence awards to outstanding corporate, community development sector and micro-credit agencies providing job creation and business opportunities for the Women.
To sensitize Young Kenyan Women on benefits of a positive towards self -reliance and economic independence
To strengthen the relationship between Women business entrepreneurs and credit providers with the hope of increasing credit for investments for the businesses owned by women.

9. Participants
The National Women in Business Conference 2008 is open to women business owners and Corporate managers, women interested in business as well as credit providers, women business suppliers and also consumers of products and services produced by or managed by women.
Despite its exclusivity, this conference is open to any other interested parties- male- who champion women's participation in business.
10. Speakers
A host of prominent and inspiring personalities will be present to address participants. They have been carefully selected due to their expertise in the various commerce- related fields that have given women the opportunity to progress in business.
11. Activities
In order to involve all who will be present, a number of activities shall take place. These will be:

12. Awards Ceremony
This, the icing on the cake, will provide the opportunity to fully appreciate the efforts of women in business, literally, by handing out awards. It is also an opportunity to encourage and motivate women/ girls still climbing the business ladder to tread on.
Awards will be in the form of trophies and certificates after carefully selecting the worthy recipients.
