1. Project
National Women in Business Conference and Trade Fair 2006.  Women in Kenya have in the last few years provided great leadership in business innovations and entrepreneurship. To celebrate these achievements while evaluating the challenges of women participation and success in business in Kenya, Purple Images Productions which is a leading communications and events management organization is organizing 1st Kenya Women Business Leaders Summit and Trade Fair on 9th November 2006 at the Grand Regency Hotel, Nairobi.

The Summit targets Kenya’s Women Business Leaders, women innovators, business mentors, entrepreneurship experts and other stakeholders. There will also be an exhibition and trade fair for services and products produced for and by women while creating awareness about job creation and business opportunities for Women in Kenya.

The overall objective of the Women Business Leaders Summit therefore is to celebrate the role of Women in national development through business enterprises.

5. Objectives
The overall objective of the Women in Business Conference is to celebrate the contribution of women in national life through business enterprises. In addition, other Summit objectives are as follows:

•       To provide Kenya's Women Business Leaders with forum for information sharing and         networking.

•       To promote innovation and creativity, role modeling and mentoring in entrepreneurship         among Women.

•       To reward national achievements in business entrepreneurship initiatives for women through          the excellence awards to outstanding corporate, community development sector and          micro-credit agencies providing job creation and business opportunities for the Women.

•       To sensitize Young Kenyan Women on benefits of a positive towards self -reliance and          economic independence

•       To strengthen the relationship between Women business entrepreneurs and credit providers with the         hope of increasing credit for investments for the businesses owned by women.
